Assistant Practitioner - Preston
We have a fantastic opportunity available for an Assistant Practitioner in the Preston area to work directly with a Physiotherapist.
To work as an Assistant Practitioner within the Community Rehabilitation Service supporting a Physiotherapist.
You will be independently assessing patient transfers and feeding your finding back to the Physiotherapist, you will be supporting and formulating an appropriate management plan in conjunction with the Physiotherapist within your agreed parameters.
To contribute to service development, clinical audit and research and development in the arena of Community Rehabilitation with a particular emphasis on high risk clients with long term conditions e.g. frailty, palliative care, respiratory conditions, stroke and other neurological conditions.
-Assistant Practitioner Qualification or equivalent
-NVQ level 3 or equivalent
-Evidence of continued professional development
-Ideally previous experience working in the community.
-Has knowledge of long term conditions.
-Have knowledge of mental illness and disability.
-Full Driving Licence
The role is 22.5 hours per week, and offers an attractive package and band 4 salary. There is also the opportunity to work as self-employed through a limited company, depending on preference.
